I attended a baseball game today. It was my ninth of 2017. Of those nine, seven have been Cubs games (4-3) and four have been at Wrigley Field (2-2). This was also the fifth Cubs game I have attended with my brother Kevin. By my rough count, that's 16 Cubs games with Kevin in the AFITB era (2015-2017) with a 9-7 record (includes two playoff wins).
Sunday's Cubs-Cardinals game was much like the first one I attended this year with my nephew Grady. The Cubs won 4-3, but it was a sloppy game for both teams. The Cubs left 12 men on base, while the Cards left 11. 11 pitchers combined for nine walks and 19 strikeouts. The game lasted 3 hours and 44 minutes. That's almost as long as a college football game. Come on.
My top three moments from today's game.

Wade Davis' reaction to Fowler's fly out was terrifying in the moment. The wind was gusting in at that point in the game, so the Cubs definitely caught a big break. Grady would be happy to know that Davis is still perfect on save chances this year. In fact, he hasn't blown a save since September 2, 2016.

Baseball is here! And more importantly, that means the over/under game is back. It seems as though everyone is an expert this time of year. Somehow we convince ourselves that we are better at predicting baseball outcomes than everyone else. Well, AFITB is putting that to the test for the third year in a row. Think you know more about baseball than us? You probably do. But go ahead and prove it anyway.
