On this week's episode of our podcast, we played a game we started last year. We call it the "Memorial Day Trade Deadline Game." Pretty catchy, right? #MDTDG
If you'd like to hear us draft our teams, it begins around the 48:00 mark. The rules are pretty simple; if a player on your team gets traded before the Trade Deadline, his plate appearances and innings pitched are added to your score. For instance, last year Paul drafted Rich Hill. He was traded to the Dodgers on July 31 and then threw 34 innings for his new team. Paul received 34 points from that pick. Last year didn't work out well for me.

In my defense, one of my guys was traded in August (Jeff Francour) and another was dealt in the offseason (Brandon Phillips). But, it was still a very weak effort. This year will be better. It has to. The highest scores from last year came from Jay Bruce (187) and Jonathan Lucroy (168). Carlos Beltran (206) and Matt Kemp (241) were our two biggest misses. Alright, let's get to the results of this year's draft. Let us know if you think we missed someone.

Baseball is here! And more importantly, that means the over/under game is back. It seems as though everyone is an expert this time of year. Somehow we convince ourselves that we are better at predicting baseball outcomes than everyone else. Well, AFITB is putting that to the test for the third year in a row. Think you know more about baseball than us? You probably do. But go ahead and prove it anyway.
